  • Curse Of My Golden Bum

....that refused to sit down in front of the computer in order to blog.

Some might think I was holed away studyin. And I say MIGHT because... well, studyin wasn't involved till the very last of last minutes before exams. So whoever thought that I was studying was wrong. Haha.

Ok so trials are over and done with, and the verdict would be : It went fine in the beginning where I had in mind "straight A's straight A's straight A's!! " but all forms of self-motivation faded and became something like  "When is this misery going to ennndd.. *stumbles all over and then curl on the floor, shrivel up and dies* "

ok fine maybe I didnt really encounter near death experinces in the process, but staying alive DID require a lot of friends being there to make stressful situations lighter..

    So, latest updates about me.

Been busy last week preparing for an upcoming wedding performance. And I watched Mamma Mia last Friday night  after practise with a bunch of church friends in the middle of this night. The movie worked for me.. it'll work for you too if you appreciate Abba songs!

Then on Saturday, Mark, Fred, Flora. Manda, Sherie, Sandy, Elena and I performed The Prayer and When You Tell Me That You Love Me for Melvyn and Mellissa's wedding dinner. Actual vids are with Manda thou..
The wedding dinner in Marriott was superb and I swear that the ballroom alone could hav fit 3 blocks of Convent's Form3 block. Well, they had to cater for 800 people, waddya expect..

Melvyn sang Mellissa a song that night, just to prove her wrong on her accusation of him being tone deaf. Awwwww...how sweeet..
Melvyn also did the Haka Dance upon request from table 38 (they were probably fascinated when he did it earlier in the morning after his wedding mass) but in return, the guys from that table were dragged up onto stage along with another 20 uncles to do the Haka. Can you imagine UNCLES doing this while Melvyn led them, shouting into his mic??! Damn ganas. Siao. But I likeee...

First, his singing left Manda swooning over the thought of her future husband doing the same thing. TYPICAL..

    me  manda

I am SO gonna get me a husband who can sing wei..
    Whhhyyyy?
Then during our wedding dinner,  we can do a duet!
Manda, thats being TOO demanding k...you'll never get married.

Then, came the spontaneous Haka performance which was really fun to watch.. and that got ME talking.

Okay thats it! im going to get my husband to do the Haka during our wedding dinner!
    Siao. YOU'LL never get married..
Whaat, as if your duet isnt more demanding.. in the first place, Melvyn did BOTH!

*blinks* and suddenly it dawned on both of us..
OMGG HE DID BOTH!! We're SO gonna get our husbands to do both also wei!! hahahha!

And after that came the typical girly reaction whereby our brains went into overdrive with dreams and fantasies of our future weddings.

Crap, i think i just made us sound like Barbie.. ANYWAYS, lets just say yall gonna have to get yourself new bikini's for my wedding and white dresses for manda's.. that's all im saying.

All in all, it was a VERY good weekend.

Went to Mid Valley with Manda Phoeb and Mark for Death Race on Monday (and i came back with nothing but a teensy little body shop purchase *sigh*), and today, I watched Eagle Eye which...sucked. If you want action, there's a whole lot of crazy car crashes.. but thats about it. Barely any gun fights, no love, just two strangers and a computer who went mad..

  • Monotonous

    hello ,

I'm currently immobile in my state of mind  *cue Marcus's 'stoner' song* . I can't seem to bring myself to touch any books related to school. Neither can I summon enough brain power to write up a longer post. Wonder what I'd do if I actually went to school today. Probably just laugh away the last remaining bits of my fading History knowledge.

    Random retarded conversations:

I had on a pretty Hansaplast decorated with little ducks, and this is Phoeb noticing it :

    me phoeb

Heeeeyyyyyy!!! Where'd you get that stapler from?!! *points at my ducky Plaster*
    STAPLER?!!

we laugh for a few minutes straight. And then....

Hahaha!! sorry sorry, I meaaant.... where'd you get the pants from?!!
    PANTS?!!! OMG HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Friends.  Retarded as they may be (and this goes out to all of them. Inclusive of Manda, Tun Tun, Renu), I don't know what I'd do without them. GROUP HUGGG!

  • The Camp That Made Its Stamp

After so many weeks of anticipation, confirmation camp finally arrived on the 20th June. Chris was so excited that she started packing the week before!!

And to think I had to skip a whole day of school on Friday just to pack. (we were to meet in church at 3.30 on Friday). Hahahaha. From there, we can conclude that PROCRASTINATION ROCKS!

Certain humans though, weren't really in the mood for camp. For instance *coughmandacough*. Both of us were in charge of the games so we sought help from the guys to bring footballs. It was all confirmed till we reached church and suddenly Manda gets a call from one of the boys saying he didnt bring the damned football. !#$%
And after that, he even had the nerve to complain why we had to play telematch again. So no suprise on why she blew. Haha.

Upon reaching, we were led to our dorms.. and then the name tags were distributed. And then ice breaking!!!

We played 'Have You Ever' and that got everyone running n colliding into each other as they scrambled for chairs.

    runninh
It wasn't so bad if only a few people gets up and run.

    runing
But it's total chaos if EVERYONE does.

Later, came the second ice breaking game, which I believe has no name. Me and manda just prepared the game in the bus on the way to IJ Convent.  Everyone gets a letter and when the leader shouts a number, you havta form words according the the number of alphabets shouted.

    bomb
Sonia, Melanie, Kaeserina, and Amelia = BOMB

    spa
5 Intaners!! me, Chrissaaaay, and Ferlynne!! =)

The rest of the evening was spent on a session which was given by an interesting man who had no limbs from birth, just a torso and a deformed foot to work his way around life.

On DVD of course la. It wasn't live! (yes i know, i just potonged ur stim. Haha).

An amazing man who didnt give up on God despite everything + has a double degree.

And he was never boring. Not even for a second! At one point he went like
" It's said that God created us in his own image. *pause*   RITTTEEEEEEEEE.......  "

    hahahaha!!!!!!

We slept at around 1am that night. Me and Manda on one bed, Chris and Ferlynne on the other.

Oh and let me tell you... Manda wrath picked up heat again at night when the guys decided to prank call us at 1.30am.

    me   manda   colin   kishore

*my phone vibrates under the pillow and wakes us up*
    'lo?
    - no reply -
Manda.. you talk. *passes phone to manda*
    *does pigeon sounds*
    WTH!! *puts phone down*

    1 minute later....

    *my phone vibrates yet again*
*looks at caller ID* Yooo.. Manda, you take la.
    *answers phone* WHAT?!
    Yo! what you doing la?
WHAT DO YOU THINK IM DOING?!
    Oh.. eh, I hungry la...
    WHAT THE HELLL LA...
    Eh, I want milo ais..
    *slams phone down*
Eh, come lets go McD...*toot toot toot*

    1 minute later...

    *Manda's phone vibrates*
*answers call* WHAT THE F*CK Y'ALL WANT LA?!!!!
dei dei chill la.. I thought we call Melissa's phone you answer, so if we call your phone Melissa will answer.
WHAT THE HELL LA!! *slams phone*

The guys were undoubtly a little weary around us the next morning during breakfast. But we ended up making a huge joke out of it. A little something to remind me of camp. Hahaha.

Started the morning of the second day with aerobics led by Sandy, Amanda Klassen, Monica and Carmen.

    aerobics
    campers doing their thang

    IMG_7940
    exercising..

AND I WAS DAMN STONED LOR....
    you see ah...

    aerobixcs
spot the only person with the hands up in the air.

    ae
damn fail..360 degress in the whole direction! hahaha

    IMG_7963
sigh of relief! it's over! even the guys behind did this! AMAZING! haha

We had sessions most of the time for that day.. And we had good speakers so it was pretty bearable. Learnt many many new things there.. N Eddy freaked me out a little when he started talking in tongues during his session. Haha. Never heard one before, you see.. And this dude had the gift! Still finding it amazing...

And Eddy's damn freakin cool.. He works in Sony Music and has rubbed shoulders with numerous international celebs and then he showed us his wedding card and it was just...... THA BOMB!

    IMG_7966
Yeap, thats A WEDDING CARD. the coolest one yet!!

Eddy also broke into Whitney Houston's "Savin All My Love" during one of the sessions. Did you know its actually a perverted song? Haha. Find the lyrics!
After the session, everyone had the song in their heads and couldn't stop singing it.. and they came up with many different versions of it.. For instance Kishore who sang it like a broken record and made us all go down in hysterics!

Spent most of lunch hour filling 250 water balloons for the games. The whole time we were at the sinks with our fingers red and sore from tying the balloons, he was entertaining us non-stop with his mock monkey and pigeon noises.
And his imitation of the way lala's say "oh my gawd" (AWWWH.. MAH... GOOAAD).
Add his constipated version of "No One" and "With You" and you have non-stop-literally-sitting-on-the-floor-laughing entertainment for 45 minutes straight. (and we wonder why we couldn't finish filling up the balloons in time)

AND NOW WE COME TO THE MOST INTERESTING PART OF CAMP!!!

    ...THE MUD FIGHT...

It rained  for an hour before the games. And the whole time me and Manda were praying that it would stop because if it didn't, all our planning would go down the drain. Fortunately, the rain stopped right after we got out of the session. There's a miracle for you!

It started with a lil cheating from Jerome which led to Ryan and Kishore (again!) wrestling him into the mud.. well at least that wat they said happened..

And the rest was total chaos.

First we couldn't get everyone to get back in lines because they were throwing mud at each other. Me, Manda and Christine were literally screaming at them to put down the water balloons and pails.

    fight
Arul gettin dragged, rolled, and mudded

    fight2
and that would be Roy gettin it rugby style.. and Christine screamin at them to get back in line...to no avail

    IMG_8042
This would be your 'reward' for cheating, Jerome. Dragged, rolled, mudded AND flour-ed

    mud
Thats what I meant when I said we were screaming at them to put down the pails.

    station
one of our stations.. we succeeded in gayerfyin the guys. N btw, the guy in gray is Elvis. Eventhou he's deaf, he participated in every single activity with us. He had a sign language interpreter for every talk. So proud of him!

    stain
another one of our stations which required everyone to chase each otha with clothespins. And I see Glynn(in red) being attacked kao kao. Haha.

    IMG_7993
This is a relatively calm picture of this station. They actually started kicking the puddle of mud water at each other and it was total war in the end.

    runwau
Returning to base after losing battle to calm the mud-hungry people.

All ended well with everyone successfully dirtyfied. The worst turned out to be us, the English speaking group and Tamil speaking..who stayed the longest in the field.

                  IMG_8055                              IMG_8053

    chris

    IMG_8056
The three stooges, or so they call us. oh, and Kishore (AGAIN!)

    sonia

    IMG_8047

Standin L-R : sandy, colin, mua, royston, chris, joshua, manda, uhmm.. ryan, arul, justin, alex
2nd row: Cynthia, Jerome, Kenneth, Steve
1st row : Kishore (WTH WEII... I'm gonna sell ad space on him)

I'll be sorry if I ever forget the second day of confirmation camp. The funnest thing that ever happened in my life! Can't believe I made so many new friends through a freakin mud fight, of all things.. Haha!

Now we come to the 3rd and last day of camp!!!!

We had mass in the morning.. And I had to give a testimony. Freaked myself out when I found out that that Arul and Jacinta (who were to give their testimonies) WROTE their testimonies.. And I was empty handed when I went up to the podium. Haha.

After mass, my friends were at the back of the chapel givin each other peace. And they seriously cracked me up with their unintentional jokes about peace (which sounds like piss)

    " Hey, peace on you"
    " Weyh!!"

Then after a while of 'peacing' inside the chapel. we realised we've been left behind by the rest. And Christine goes "Come la, we go peace outside.." WTH LLLOOLLLLL!!

    IMG_8066
    The clan.

    IMG_8079
The band we love : Blood Redemption. =)

Overall, I have to admit this camp has been the most meaningful to me. So many friends, so much experience, all that values we learned.

And the MIRACLE!!! I have actually refrained myself from cursing. Wheehooo!! Ok well, maybe there was that few accidental slips. But other than that.... I've got say im proud of myself     Im proud of Manda too. And Chris. And Kishore ( here we go again..) I heard he too has reduced his allocated curses per day? Haha

AND YES I KNOW ITS A VERY LATE AND LONG POST

  • Crap

Hello world, yes I know it's been a while since i've seen yall.

Ok no. Actually its more of the other way around. YOU havent been seeing ME.

    oh gawd. That was lame.
I appear have lost every little blogging skill that I ever had. Don't mind me.

    Actually,

there are SOOOO many things I have to blog about ever since my apparent death from the blogosphere.

For instance, my new found love for Mr. Lim (the cool chemistry tutor). Not love LOVE la you sillies, BUT IM TELLIN YA, he be coooooll... haha. We, the 5 buncha maniacs from his class (Manda, Phoeb, Renu, Naim, me) actually decided to get him "Chinese For Dummies" seeing as how he's chinese illiterate.

And, he just cracks us up with random statements. Oh yes, and he blurts sudden profanities too, just like us

And how can I forget Ms Ng (the lagi cool physics + addmath tutor). For Teacher's Day, Phoeb, Manda and I baked a cake for her.
And no, it wasn't a disaster.
The kitchen did not blow up.
And our hair is still in perfect unburnt condition.

And this is one of the hilarious incidents that happened during our break in Manda's house, where we baked.

    while having lunch.....

*accidently drops sausage on the floor* "Oopss.. your floor's clean right?" *hops off to pick it up*
    "Yeah..should be okay la,"
*pops sausage into mouth and chews*
"Only got footsteps where people walk on la.."
    *stops chewing*
"And sometimes the dog comes in as well.."
    *gulps*

I laughed for a good 5 minutes at the table and couldnt eat. You should have seen the look on her face! Haha!

We cut the cake during tuition and shared it among the other two tuition buddies, Charmaine and Gloria. Oh yes, and Ms Ng even suggested going for white-water rafting after SPM (told you she's damn cool).

Teacher's Day in school wasn't quite as happening as we'd expect it to be. Though my class's jamuan was pretty awesome.
Kimmeh (my master) baked brownies which ran out real quick after the other classes knew of its existence. Naim's bigass container of keropok on the other hand, was heavily guarded by us and was placed in the middle of our circle.

    OH,

and im like so bloody proud of David Cook now! Me, manda and phoeb were on the way back from school when we heard the news that he won.

Totally did NOT expect him to win, given the fact that he screwed up his winning performances the night before. All our hopes were dashed and we were just waiting for Archuletta to be crowned Idol 08'

    AdamC  callerontheline Manda+Me Phoeb

"So, Farah, can you tell us who won American Idol?"
" Daviiiid Coooookkk!! *shrieks shamelessly on air*"
*wide-eyed, looks at each other in disbelief, gaping jaws*
OMGGGGG!!!!!!NO WAY! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! YES YES YAAAAAYYYYYY!! HE WOOONNNNNNNNN!!!! DAVIIIDDDD COOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKK!!!!! *screams the car down*

    *wakes up from sleep*

Amazing, and he won by quite a handful of votes too!

Actually, Archuletta is equally as deserving but I just thought Cook was more versatile and his range is fantastic. =)

Anyways, back to the present. Its the holidays now. Mom's down in Singapore with Lucas for Cheryl's confirmation. I'm so happy for her! Cant wait for my turn in two months time. And Manda, we havta GOT to go ice skating one day SOON! Phoeb, Gossip Girl marathon! and everyone else, MOVIES, SHOPPIN, SUMMER SPLASH!!

See yall in another million years! *yes i know this is a very lame exit, but thats cuz im home alone on a holiday*
